Palin Bombs Infront Of Wine Wholesalers Expo

Any chance to spread the message that Sarah Palin is an idiot is a chance I'll take. Palin was the keynote speaker at the Wine And Spirits Wholesalers of America's 67th Annual Convention and Exposition for an estimated $75,000 to $100,000 price tag. What attendees apparently got was a cobbled together speech of stolen puns and half-assed Google searches regarding alcohol. The best part was that wine professional and writer, Wolfgang M. Weber, posted a live blog of the event on his site! Here are some excerpts:
She just made up a Ronald Reagan quote. And now she’s talking about the deficit, using “heck” a lot. If her commercial fishing business is in trouble, she’d fix it, not borrow money.

She is avoiding any sort of industry specific comments, but seems to be all about deregulation. In Wasilla, she fought regulations that would dictate whether barber poles could rotate.

Back to the speech. She just pointed out that in spirits, quality grapes produce quality wines. Does she know wine is not spirits?

“Think of cultured yeast as a mentor.” That was an attempt to link winemaking with the habits of successful people.

She keeps focusing on small business. An interesting choice, given the crowd. Oh, here comes energy policy. She wants nuclear power and offshore drilling, instead of giving money to “unstable regimes”.
This is jsut more evidence that Palin knows absolutely nothing. Her handlers should have done a better job prepping her to talk about something she knows nothing about, especially after her humiliating performance during the 2008 campaign. She is nothing more then a worn bag of GOP platitudes with no depth. And to believe people continue to book her and look forward to her speaking engagements!
