In a recent article, John Smithson wrote that he believed the administration was monitoring his website because the following appeared on his stat counter:
I don't know about you but the first thing I noticed was how exactly this visitor from the "Executive Office Of The President" found Smithson's website - by searching on Google the following words: "hutchinson oped guam."
Sounds like they only stumbled upon Smithson's website when searching for stories involving an op-ed piece written by Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson for Politico that lumped the American territory of Guam with other foreign nations - an op-ed that John Smithson cut-and-paste on his own website.
I highly doubt the Executive Office Of The President is concerned with Smithson's belief that Sen. Hutchinson was criticizing "the Obama agenda of 'taking down' an arrogant national mystic."
