John Smithson Revives Old Keith Olbermann Smear

John Smithson recently published a post discussing Tucker Carlson's The Daily Caller acquiring KeithOlbermann.com, in which he revisited an old attack against the MSNBC host that Keith Olbermann is not Ivy League educated.  Originally pushed by conservative political commentator Ann Coulter, the attack basically asserts that Olbermann is not Ivy League educated because he attended Cornell's agricultural school.

Here is the smear, as it appears on John Smithson's website:
The former ESPN sportscaster is no stranger to controversy. Right-wing personality and Cornell alumnus Ann Coulter accused Olbermann, who also claims to be a Cornell graduate, of never having graduated from the Ivy League institution. “He always forgets to mention that he went to the school that offers classes in milking and bovine management,” wrote Coulter in a 2009 column.

“Olbermann’s incessant lying about having an ‘Ivy League education’ when he went to the non-Ivy League ag school at Cornell would be like a graduate of the Yale locksmithing school boasting about being a ‘Yale man,’” Coulter continued.
I find something wrong with this argument, especially when coming from Ann Coulter - she is making an elitist argument, trying to discredit the quality of Olbermann's education simply because of what field he focused in - she also attended Cornell.  I guess in Coulter's eyes, farmers are nothing more then dumb hicks that grow our food.  With that being said, I found Coulter's argument to be flawed, especially when considering she has made attacks against the president, claiming Obama to be an "elitist."

Can somebody say hypocrite?
